Built by a grower,
for growers.

Pomona was born in an orchard, not a startup incubator.

The Story

I'm Casey Darrow. I grow apples in Vermont.

Like most growers, I spent years logging spray applications on paper. Notes scattered across clipboards, truck seats, and office desks. Calculating REI and PHI by hand. Scrambling to find records when an inspector showed up. Spending hours trying to remember how much Captan I used last season.

I tried spreadsheets. They helped, but they were clunky on a phone, impossible to use in the field, and I still had to manually calculate everything.

So I built Pomona.

Not as a startup idea. Not because I thought "ag tech" was a hot market. I built it because I needed it. Because I was tired of doing paperwork when I should have been growing apples.

Pomona is what I wish existed when I started growing fruit. It's designed for real orchard work—muddy boots, spotty cell service, and all. It doesn't have features you don't need. It doesn't try to be everything to everyone.

It tracks spray applications. It keeps you WPS-compliant. It helps you manage your trap network. It gets out of your way so you can focus on growing.

That's it. That's Pomona.

What we believe

Software should work for growers, not the other way around

We're not here to reinvent your operation. We're here to digitize the paperwork you already do, so you can spend more time in the orchard and less time at a desk.

Your data is yours

We're your tool, not your data prison. Export your records anytime. We don't lock you in. We don't sell your data. It's yours.

Simplicity wins

Every feature in Pomona exists because a real grower needed it. We don't add complexity for complexity's sake. If it doesn't make your life easier, it doesn't belong.

Built to last

Pomona isn't venture-backed. We don't have exit plans or "growth at all costs" metrics. We're here to build a tool that works, serves growers, and sticks around.

What's next

Pomona launched in 2026. We're still small. We're still learning. We're listening to growers and building the features they actually need.

On the roadmap: harvest logging, food safety records, and better tools for consultants managing multiple farms. We're also working on Sentinel MP, a controlled-atmosphere storage monitoring platform.

If you have ideas, requests, or feedback—email me. I'm the one who'll read it, and I'm the one who'll build it.

Try it yourself

See if Pomona fits your operation. No sales pitch. Just the software.
